• Application of a composite electrolyte in a solidacid fuel cell system: A micro-arc oxidation alumin

  Amicro-arcoxidationalumina(MOA)supportfilledwithaCsH2PO4protonconductorwasinvestigatedasaninorganiccompositeelectrolyteforaH2/O2solid-acidfuelcell(SAFC).TheMOAsupportwaspolycrystallineandcontaineda-andg-Al2O3phases;while,theprotonconductorCsH2PO4formedaninterlacednetworkwithintheMOAsupport.Thesingle-moduleSAFCusingthefabricatedMOA/CsH2PO4membranedeliveredapeakpowerofw38.5mWcm2andaprotonconductivityofw2.1mScm1atalowtemperature(25C).ComparedtoaSAFCusingananodicaluminamembranecompositeelectrolyte(AAM/CsH2PO4SAFC),whichdisplayedrapiddegradation,theSAFCusingtheMOA/CsH2PO4compositeelectrolyteshowedimprovedstabilitywithcyc領(lǐng).Thiswasattributedtothecrystallinea-Al2O3phasethatwaspartoftheMOAsupportthathadincreasedthechemicalresistance.[詳細(xì)]

  Herein,astudyofthesurfacemodificationofzirconiumbyanodicoxidationisreported.TheoxidationprocesswascarriedoutinasolutioncontainingK2SiO3andKOH.Theanodizationwasconductedatvoltagesof100,200and400V.Itwasfoundthatthemorphologyofthesurfacedidnotchangeduringtheoxidationofthezirconiumat100and200V.Theapplicationof400Vresultedintheincorporationofsiliconintotheformedoxidelayerandasignificantmodificationofthesurfacemorphology.Theobtainedcoatingsaretypicalofcoatingproducedduringanelectrolyticplasmaoxidationprocessandcontainaconsiderableamountofsilicon.TheanodicoxidationofzirconiumleadstoasignificantimprovementinthecorrosionresistanceofthematerialinthepresenceofRinger’sphysiologicalsolution.[詳細(xì)]
