INDICATIONS Algoplaque Paste is intended for filling in deep wounds，used in combination with hydrocolloid dressings from the Algoplaque range. Algoplaque Paste is used in the same indications as Algoplaque dressings: exudative leg ulcers and bedsores. Algoplaque Paste fills in any irrgularities in the wound and drains the exudate towards the hydrocolloid pad applied to the surface. The use of Algoplaque Paste therefore slows down saturation of the Algoplaque dressing and means that it does not need to be changed as ogten. ·At the moist necrosis stage，Algoplaque Paste forms a colloidal gel on contact with the skin，which softens the necrosis and drains away necrotic waste，promoting its gradual elimination. ·At the granulation stage，Algoplaque Paste creates a colloidal interface on contact with the wound，aiding the healing mechanism in terms of moisture，heat and pH balance. CONTRAINDICATIONS -Infected wounds，ulcers caused by infection，necrosis caused by stage IV arteriopathy. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE 1. Application of Alfoplaque Paste(這句加下劃線) -Clean the wound with normal saline and apply Alfoplaque Paste directly to the wound by squeezing the tube.In the case of the Algoplaque Padte must be below the edges of the wound to leave the gel enough room to expand as it absorbs the exudates.Remove any traces of paste from the edge of the wound to make sure that the dressing is not prevented from adhering properly. Apply an Algoplaque dressing in the usual way，making sure it overlaps the edge of the wound by about 3 cm. 2.Changing the dressing(這句也加下劃線) When the dressing is removed，the gel formed by Algoplaque Paste is easily removed by rinsing with normal saline.Totally remove any Algoplaque Paste residues still adhering to the fissures of the wound before applying more product and a new Algoplaque dressing. 3.Precautions for use(這句還加下劃線) Algoplaque Paste is radiosterilized.The contents of the tube remain srerile as long as it is not opened. Once it has been opened，the sterility of Algoplaque Paste cannot be guaranteed.The contents of the tube must therefore be used in one go.
