The flow of an air curtain mounted above a doorway in which was placed a mannequin was studied using stereo particle image velocimetry. The study revealed that the interference of the air curtain flow was limited to a region near the doorway. The air curtain flow stagnates around the top surfaces of the mannequin. A high level of turbulence also existed in this region.
