Originally designed for short-term microdialysis experiments, the tanks can be ordered pre-machined to accommodate feeders and water bottles in order to house animals for longer periods. The floor areas of the two models exceed USDA regulations and NRC guidelines for the largest singly-housed rats and mice.1 The feeders and water bottles mount outside the tank to avoid interference with the tether.
