Hedgehog proteins are important signaling molecules during embryonic development and are highly conserved within and across species.Implicated in endochondral ossification: may regulate the balance between growth and ossification of the developing bones. Induces the expression of parathyroid hormone-related protein (PTHRP).

Recommend to aliquot the protein into smaller quantities when first used and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
